Philosophy StatementWe believe that each child is unique and precious. We will treat all children with respect, dignity, love and affection. We allow children the freedom to make their own learning choices whilst providing familiar routines and nurturing, experienced teachers.
We believe that children are capable and competent learners, teachers will support and build on children’s expressed learning interests. Our centre culture is based on building respectful, reciprocal relationships between children, families, staff and our community. We aspire to provide a constantly stimulating, exciting environment. We enthusiastically provide a wide variety of materials and resources which will ‘invite children to learn’. We also ensure the centre has calm and restful areas for children and families, where they can feel safe, secure and contented. We value relationships in our centre, with children, parents, families, and our community. We encourage families to be involved in their children’s learning and to become part of the centre community. We believe that by sharing learning between home and centre we will optimise children’s learning experiences. We believe that as early childhood educators we are both teachers and learners, we continue to learn from and with the children in our care. We value self-review and reflection and quality professional development. If you would like to contact us, please do so here! |
